Our classes are set up for people who learn differently. Joe doesn't like the public school so there are no tests or written material. Because it is clay, lessons are visual, auditory and very theraputic. We teach Home Schoolers, Boy and Girl Scouts, Church Groups, Indian Guides and Birthday Parties. We also give lectures and seminars to businesses. We can travel to your special event if needed. The special way we teach can be understood by groups with learning disabilities.
Cost is $75 for six (6) two (2) hour classes or $15 for one (1) class.
All materials are supplied.
Wednesday:
Live Model Figure Sculpting
7:00 - 9:00.Work with a live figure model to get proper structure and details. Create
professional looking art in just five fun and easy classes. Class 1:
Construct a female torso. Use 25 to 50 pounds of clay. Class 2: Refine
basic shapes and proportions. Decide the basic style for the sculpture: Cubistic,
realisitic, impressionistic. Class 3: Explore texturing techniques which
include chiseled, marbeled, burnishes, and pebbeled surfaces. Continue to develop
sculpture. Class 4: Refine details and prepare the sculpture for firing
in the kiln. Class 5: Apply finishes: Painting, glazing, patinas, etc.
Classes are sequential and cost $150 for the set. All
materials are included.
