The Whiterock Library

Good Reference Books for Painting.

After 20 years creating sculpture and teaching art, we have found a number of reference books that we use all of the time. These books vary in subject matter, and they have great graphics. At Whiterock Studio, we paint our sculpture using acrylic paints. Paints are more predictable than glazes. The watercolor glazing techniques in the books listed below are great for clay projects too. We've have found the best books on the market for you. Click on any linked title below to purchase these fabulous books and/or other works by the authors from In Association with Amazon.com.
