Home School Sculpture Lessons at Whiterock Studio

Group Clay Sculpture/Art Lessons designed for Home Schooled Children

Whiterock has the clay, kilns, and space. Come to our studio.

Classes for five or more children can be scheduled for one class or on-going classes.
Cost per session: $10 per child per class. Minimum: 5 children. 1 1/2 hour classes. Individual students can join our Tuesday or Wednesday, 4:30 to 6:30 PM classes. Give Joe a topic, and he will design a project for your group based on what you are studying.

Joe doesn't like the public schools either. It doesn't allow children or teachers the flexibility needed to learn. Joe teaches the student, not the lesson. Joe has a degree in Art Education from East Carolina University. He has taught art for 17 years in Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. Children with Learning Disabilities or Special Needs

Joe specializes in children with learning disabilities. According to research in visual-spatial learning, children who are visual learners often have learning disabilities. See our links to Right Brained Learning.

Artistic children benefit from the instruction that helps them take their ideas and develop completed projects. Students who learn and think in words, learn to see in a different way. You do not need to be "talented" to take art lessons. Everyone has artistic talent. You can develop yours.

Whiterock has a special library that has grown teaching and learning about art and the mind of artists. Some of the books can be found in the Library section of these digital documents.
